The résidence "Panoramic" is in a prominent position on entry to Combloux (just after the garage on the right hand side of the N212). The Panoramic is a 500m walk into the village, so it would be feasible to stay here without a car - for skiers, there is a free all-day shuttle service up to la Cry and a free bus link into Megève operating from the tourist office in the village.

For drivers, there is private parking outside. Road access is very good and does not require snow chains for most weeks of the season (except for the legal requirement to carry chains).

There are 10 apartments available in this building, which all belong to the same owner and are almost identical. Being an older style building the apartments are very spacious with plenty of storage. They are well equipped but décor is fairly plain.

For this winter, we have taken first choice and pre-booked three apartments, all on the second floor: P09 faces South, P10 faces North-East, and P11 faces North-West.

The kitchen / dining room is open on a split level to the lounge area. There is a TV aerial socket and phone card enabled telephone. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, fridge, toaster, pressure cooker, coffee maker etc.

The bedroom is large, with double bed and fitted wardrobes. However one thing for families to consider is that there is a double bunk bed with a third pull-out bed underneath in the lounge area (see photo). This could be inconvenient if the parents stay up long after the children go to bed. Another consideration for groups is that the toilet is within the shower room.

Overall these apartments are very good value accommodation and they do have a couple of useful advantages: there is plenty of space for a cot and high chair, which are available on request; and there is communal access to a washing machine in a separate wash room.
