Always shop around. Budget airlines made fly-drive popular but sometimes carriers like BA are better value, and BA provide a better web site for finding cheap flights. Flights are cheaper mid-week but beware, it can be difficult to find self-catered accomodation unless you pay for an extra week - non-standard dates are not practical or economic for owners.
