This is one of four ground floor apartments we own in Chalets des Ecrins. The entrance hall/bedroom has twin bunk beds and doors to a bathroom with shower over the bath, and to a separate toilet.
This apartment is well designed with ample storage space, electric heating, and independent hot water supply.
The entrance hall/bedroom has twin bunk beds and doors to a bathroom with shower over the bath, and to a separate toilet.
It is separated by a door to the lounge.
The lounge is a little wider than our other apartments. It has a convertible double sofa bed set into a surrounding cupboard unit. Thus, it also serves as a second bedroom.
In the corner of the lounge is a kitchenette with fridge, microwave oven/grill and twin hotplates and preparation counter which is again larger than we have in the other apartments. There are french windows to a south facing patio.
English families appreciate the cookware and tableware, and home comforts such as TV, video, books, games and radio/CD. We make sure that essentials like teapot, kettle, sharp knives and wine saver are included, because our own friends and family stay here.
Our local manager makes sure the accommodation is well maintained and it is clean and warm, in readiness for your arrival, with beds made up, toilet roll available etc.
The standard changeover day for nearly all self-catering apartments is Saturday. Sometimes that suits families needing to get the kids back to school, but it would generally be MUCH cheaper and more convenient for independent holidaymakers to travel other days, e.g. a family of 4 can save hundreds by avoiding Saturday flights.
Because we do not let through an agency or rely on weekend cleaners, we can offer a better deal than most owners. We do offer standard weeks, but we also accept bookings starting any weekday and charge for the days actually used. If someone stays for a short time, or over a weekend, we lose a full week booking so we add just one day to compensate. This online booking system does the calculations.
Please note that our standard rent is based on two persons occupying and for additional persons (including babies) we charge an extra £15 per week to cover additional bedlinen, electricity, water, wear and tear etc.
